ABOUT THIS ART PIECE...
"The second painting in the second UK Invasion wave
- ‘Incineration Strike’ use a fire engine photomontaged into the shape of a Dalek. The photographic studies where
taken at a Fire Station in the South-East of London and with this painting I wanted to reflect what would happen if the service
didn’t excised? The fire service originates from Germany, but has also had a strong element throughout British history
(the Great Fire of London & the Blitz). The use of the word ‘Incineration’ in the title is word-play of ‘insinuate’.
The use of the Dalek shaped image celebrates British Sci-fi design and is also used as a metaphor for dictator. There's also a few other reflective gems hidden within this piece and others within UK Invasion 01 and UK Invasion 02!" This Painting was created by Stu MacKay with acrylic paints on a 20" x 30" canvas.
