"The second painting in the second UK Invasion wave - ‘Incineration Strike’ use a fire engine photomontaged into the shape of a Dalek. The photographic studies where taken at a Fire Station in the South-East of London and with this painting I wanted to reflect what would happen if the service didn’t excised? The fire service originates from Germany, but has also had a strong element throughout British history (the Great Fire of London & the Blitz). The use of the word ‘Incineration’ in the title is word-play of ‘insinuate’. The use of the Dalek shaped image celebrates British Sci-fi design and is also used as a metaphor for dictator.
